Birth as Beauty

The unfolding of birth is beauty to behold. Beauty is that which is pleasing to the senses, especially to the eyes.

The way in which a baby intuitively navigates the landscape of our body, is beauty in motion. The perfectly placed bony landmarks and incredibly responsive muscles of our pelvic bowl, gently reminding and reflecting to baby, when and where to turn, when and where to descend, within us.

The way in which our womb and the tissues of our yoni (vagina) gradually, gracefully and gently open wide for baby to come through us, is beauty embodied. The hormones, Relaxin, Oxytocin, and Progesterone, peaking in birth, gently calling open our womb and yoni. Giving the perfect stretch and wetness to our internal landscape for our babies to make their glorious entry into the world.

The way in which our voices and vaginas are inextricably linked, is beauty personified. Our voice and our vagina mirroring each other. Both an opening from the external world to our internal landscape. Both an instrument of expression. Our voice, emotionally and intellectually expressing. Our vagina, sensually and sexually expressing. When we open our voices (throat) in birth, we open our vaginas. An open voice is an open vagina. Both beautifully expressing themselves.

The unfolding of birth is beauty being unveiled. Beauty being painted on the very canvas of our body.
