Birth: The Revealer of All
Birth is the ultimate revealer. Revealing to us, our deepest beliefs about life, the patterning of our biology, and our past, present and future, simultaneously. These revelations are not revealed to us all at once but over the entirety of our life. This makes birth inherently transformative and healing, no matter how we experience birth.
Our deepest beliefs about life are truthfully and accurately reflected to us through birth. What we believe as true about life and birth, becomes true for us in our experience of birth. If we believe life to be beautiful and simple, these beliefs are revealed and experienced in our bodies through birth. If we believe life to be hard, complicated, and unforgiving, these beliefs are also revealed and experienced in birth. This is because our beliefs shape our biology and our reality. What we believe to be true is mirrored as true and real for us simply as a reflection of our beliefs through our experiences in life and in birth. What are your deepest beliefs about life, spoken and unspoken?
The way in which we have tended and cared for our body, our biology, is also revealed in birth. Have we given our bodies deep rest, nourishing foods, deep friendships and relationships, gentle, natural movement of our body throughout the day, and life-exalting thoughts, to make our cells, our biology, our body, soft, supple and open to receive the gifts and goodness of life and birth? To make our cells, our biology, our body, soft, supple and open to the unfolding of birth? Or have we unintentionally or unknowingly neglected and forgotten to care and tend our body, our biology? And, in so doing, making our cells and biology, hardened, resistant and closed to the gifts and glory of life and birth. A deeply nourished body allows our biology to unfold beautifully and naturally in birth. Yearning and ready to be opened wide by birth itself. Deeply nourishing and nurturing our body, our biology, fortifies and strengthens us in birth. Are you nourished? How have you been nourishing and nurturing yourself?
Our lineage and legacy are also revealed in birth. The way in which we ourselves were born, the way our mother was born, the way our mother’s parents and entire lineage were born, influences and imprints within the cellular memory of our bodies and are expressed and revealed at birth. This is why families will see the women in their families birthing and experiencing birth in the same or similar ways as their lineage and ancestors did. Simultaneously, birth reveals our legacy, representing our present and future descendants that are coming and will come through us. The way we birth creates an imprint on our children and descendants, shaping how they will experience birth. What birthing legacy do you want to create and leave as an inheritance for the generations that are coming after you? What birthing patterns in your lineage and past, do you want to heal and transmute into beauty and Truth before you birth?
